If you've ever been on a group dove hunt you know the setup. Everyone gets out and gets a position as the sun is rising. There is only 1 rule.....Since you don't really know where people are, NEVER shoot with a level barrel....

Well, my father and I were sitting under a pine tree on a fence line when I got sprayed by all this birdshot. As I said before, nothing penetrated me but the shot was hot and burned right through my jacket and burned my skin a little. My Dad screamed across the field to let them know we were over there. About 2 minutes later it happened again. This time something to the extent of, "If you shot across this field again I am shooting back" was screamed with more explicatives and anger.

Well, that caught the groups attention and they started walking over (not in an aggressive manner)...turned out it was Wade Boggs who was spraying me....Honestly, I had no idea who the guy was but my Dad did. This was long before digital cameras and cell phones so there were no pictures but we did get autographs and lots of apologies from Wade.
